Job Summary

The Housekeeping Assistant is a vital member of our team at United Church Homes, Inc. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our community, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of general housekeeping and cleaning duties, including cleaning offices, resident rooms, common areas, and other spaces as assigned.
  • Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols to maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors, walls, doors, and ceilings as required.
  • Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies, including vacuums, mops, and cleaning solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff, residents, and healthcare staff to ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning process.
  • Participate in quarterly inventory processes and maintain accurate records of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed by management.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to read, write, understand, and speak English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
