We are seeking an experienced Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to join our team at Fountain City Family Physicians, a division of Summit Medical Group.
Responsibilities- Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations/procedures according to provider preferences.
- Record vital signs of patients, including pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, etc.
- Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, holter monitors, and other clinical procedures as needed.
- Assist physicians with procedures, administer medications, and conduct patient education.
- Handle phone nursing duties, including triaging, pre-certs, referrals, and calling in prescriptions.
- Perform clerical duties necessary for providers to see patients, such as contacting patients regarding test results.
- Pull and prepare patient records for physicians to treat patients.
- Schedule patient appointments with efficient use of clinical time slots.
- Maintain stocked, neat, and clean exam rooms and common work areas.
- Adhere to established company policies and procedures, including corporate compliance and state and federal regulations.
- Participate in site-level Quality Improvement Activities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant Certification required.
- Six months of phlebotomy and clinical experience preferred.
