Job Summary

Raytheon is seeking an experienced Principal level electrical engineer to join our Sensor Controls & Electronics (SCE) Department in the Electrical Engineering Directorate. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing FPGA-based designs for control and/or signal processing radar applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop FPGA-based systems to meet system level requirements
  • Work with cross-functional project teams to determine technical approach or solution
  • Lead small teams and mentor junior engineers
  • Design and deliver production quality FPGA releases from initial proof of concept to production
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, software engineers, and program management to ensure product success
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience designing FPGAs using VHDL/Verilog
  • Experience designing and integrating with AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or Actel/Microsemi/Microchip FPGAs
  • Experience using synthesis tools: Synplify, Xilinx Vivado, or Intel Quartus Pro
  • Experience with Timing Closure and utilizing Chipscope / Signal Tap
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • 12+ years of professional experience designing FPGAs using VHDL/Verilog
  • Experience using RTL simulation tools such as Questasim
  • Experience with Timing Closure and utilizing Chipscope / Signal Tap
  • Experience in AMD/Xilinx MPSOC, RFSOC, Ultrascale+, Versal
  • Experience in Intel programmable devices Stratix X, Agilex
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces such as GbE, SRIO, Aurora
  • Existing security clearance

The salary range for this role is $96,000 - $200,000.
