About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist/Medical Screener to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Phlebotomist/Medical Screener, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors while collecting high-quality plasma.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen new and repeat donors, taking and recording vital signs and finger stick results.
  • Answer phones, greet and focus on our donors, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Use our Donor Information System to prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
  • Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company-approved procedures.
  • Work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of our donors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
  • Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
  • Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
  • Prolonged glove wear required due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1).
  • 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.00, and U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives, medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
