Multi-Unit Leader

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a highly skilled Multi-Unit Leader to oversee the operations of multiple drive-ins. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing General Managers and employees, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and train Working Partners/General Managers to achieve operational excellence.
- Direct and assign employees to ensure all aspects of service meet operational standards.
- Oversee drive-in employees and management in performing duties in the Basic Stations to ensure quality food and exceptional customer service.
- Adhere to and monitor management compliance of the drive-in employee handbook, policies, and practices.
- Address employee issues and policy violations, and report them to your immediate supervisor.
- Review employee and drive-in management work schedules to ensure continuous ability to properly serve guests.
- Monitor cost control procedures for food, labor, paper, and inventory, and take corrective action when necessary.
- Monitor performance of vendors and take corrective action when necessary.
- Audit drive-in employment-related records and payroll records.
- Reinforce the importance of placing guest needs first to drive-in management.
- Respond to escalated guest requests and complaints in a respectful manner.
- Recruit, interview, and hire management team members to achieve proper staffing levels.
- Approve compensation levels of drive-in employees and managers within company guidelines.
- Prepare operational reports for multiple drive-ins and develop action plans to resolve unfavorable financial and sales trends.
- Develop and implement a marketing plan for the region.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields preferred.
- Minimum of three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred), with experience running shifts without supervision.
- Multi-unit supervision experience preferred.
- Required to work a minimum 5-day workweek, including irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and selection practices.
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws, as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations.
- Leadership and supervisory practices and skills; effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic accounting and computer skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions; ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems.
- Problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to abide by the company's appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards.
