Position Summary:
We are in search of a Senior Accountant to spearhead our financial reporting initiatives as we expand our operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in establishing and overseeing our financial reporting frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage monthly project invoicing by verifying timesheets and submitting to clients.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual analyses of general ledger accounts.
  • Monitor project expenditures, encompassing expenses, labor, materials, and overhead.
  • Prepare project budgets, forecast future financial needs, and ensure budget compliance to detect potential overruns.
  • Create detailed financial reports for specific projects, summarizing performance and offering insights to stakeholders.
  • Generate and evaluate financial and budgetary information.
  • Assist the Fractional Controller and CEO with financial statement reporting, analysis, budget preparation, and management reporting.

Essential Duties:
  • Design and implement project cost analysis tailored to the needs of Over J Consulting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect financial data and insights.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.
  • Develop, prepare, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Maintain budgets and forecast future financial performance.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a senior capacity.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP Ariba).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the capability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in cash basis accounting and tax planning is preferred.
