Deposit Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Deposit Support Specialist to join our team at Kitsap Bank. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our deposit services.
Job Summary:The Deposit Support Specialist will be responsible for providing effective operational services by performing deposit servicing functions, including input, research, maintenance, verification, and problem-solving. You will work closely with our branch personnel to research and resolve issues, and ensure compliance with existing Bank policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Handle client and branch support calls, utilizing our Contact Center platform for documentation.
- Perform or complete training in job duties, including deposit control balancing, account reconciliation, chargebacks, IRS reporting, transfer setup, safe box maintenance, new account verification, dollar transactions, EFT disputes, mail processing, safe box access, transaction review, research, and file transmission.
- Monitor and document files sent to and received from Kaye Smith.
- Complete required maintenance for return mail.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 to 3 years customer service and clerical experience, preferably in a banking or financial services industry.
- A basic understanding of deposit operations, deposit account histories, and the function of online activity and corrections.
- Demonstrate ability to balance a cash drawer or experience reconciling accounts.
- Ability to effectively prioritize work projects and meet deadlines.
- Must have the ability to work with speed and accuracy.
- Working knowledge and experience with personal computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email), and ability to operate other standard office equipment.
- Ability to navigate, inquire, and perform maintenance using FIS applications.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to represent the Bank in a positive manner.
- Previous work experience requiring good judgment, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Ability to function efficiently and effectively under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
