About This Role

As a leading manufacturer of plant-powered laundry detergents and cleaners, we are committed to creating a more sustainable future. We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Specialist to join our team in this key role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of recycling activity and prepare regular reports on waste management.
  • Track waste-related data and ensure compliance with sustainability standards.
  • Oversee donations from each facility and perform hands-on waste stream audits.
  • Act as the main point of contact for recyclers and suppliers.
  • Expand supplier take-back programs and identify outlets for special items.
  • Maintain records of miscellaneous item disposal and support a diversion rate of over 95%.
  • Collaborate with operations to calculate waste amounts and costs.
  • Conduct internal sustainability audits and submit reports to senior management.
  • Develop internal communication to reinforce sustainability programs and policies.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in a Science or Sustainability related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year.
