School-Based Counselor

Job Summary:

The Lincoln Center for Family and Youth is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School-Based Counselor to provide trauma support services to students in a designated school district. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with students, families, and school personnel to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students who have experienced trauma or are at risk of experiencing trauma.
• Develop and implement trauma-informed interventions to support students' emotional and behavioral well-being.
• Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement strategies to prevent and mitigate the effects of trauma on students' academic performance and behavior.
• Provide case management services to students and families, connecting them with community resources and support services.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in trauma-informed care.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field.
• Experience working with students who have experienced trauma or are at risk of experiencing trauma.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices.
