Job Summary:
The Lincoln Center for Family and Youth is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School-Based Counselor - Trauma Support Specialist to provide critical support services to students in need. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with students, families, and school personnel to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide trauma-informed therapy and counseling interventions to students in need of support.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to address students' unique needs and goals.
- Collaborate with school personnel to develop and implement trauma-informed approaches to education.
- Provide case management and mental health support services to students and families.
- Consult with community agencies and organizations to access resources and services for students and families.
- Develop and implement educational programs and workshops on trauma-informed care and mental health.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, psychology, social work).
- Experience working with students in a school setting.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and mental health principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
