Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage patients with complex medical conditions, including ordering diagnostic tests and developing treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account patient needs and preferences.
  • Conduct patient education and counseling on health-related topics, including disease management and prevention.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York.
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification in a relevant specialty.
  • Experience working in a surgical services setting, preferably in a hospital or ambulatory care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
