About the Role
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Instructional Designer to join our team in the Department of Environmental and Public Health Sciences. As an Instructional Designer, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of online and technology-facilitated courses for our faculty, students, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with faculty and subject matter experts to design and develop high-quality online courses that meet the needs of our students and faculty.
- Assist in the implementation of new technologies and approaches for online learning, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Develop and maintain online courses, ensuring consistency with sound instructional design principles and standards.
- Assess the effectiveness of online courses and make recommendations for improvement.
- Contribute to the development of new online programs and courses, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging educational technologies and best practices in online learning, making recommendations for their integration into our courses and programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as education, instructional design, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in course design, development, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex educational problems and develop effective solutions.
- Proficiency in instructional design software and tools, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and multimedia authoring tools.
