Position Overview

Compensation Range: $79,746-$136,288

The Quality Assurance Lead is tasked with ensuring and promoting consistent adherence to operational quality and compliance standards at the branch level while supporting regional operations as needed. This role encompasses managing and upholding standards and processes related to ISO 9001, GDP, IMS/ADS, auditing, KPI outcomes, and third-party management, including locations operated by CLG. Additionally, the position involves implementing GHQ IFF standardization and RMS initiatives, overseeing regulatory programs, and providing quality support in other designated areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the IFF Quality Assurance Director, RVP, BM, and branch personnel to uphold and monitor quality programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while supporting local performance expectations, including but not limited to ISO, GDP, Kaizen, and other assigned programs.
  • Facilitate and ensure the reporting, analysis, and completion of events and corrective/preventive action plans based on risk and incidents at the local assigned level.
  • Lead internal and external audits at the designated site, working with relevant stakeholders on preparation, reporting, completion, and resolution of any findings.
  • Act as the GDP Responsible Person (RP) if applicable to the site.
  • Ensure that quality management systems at the site level are implemented, maintained, and compliant with GHQ, YLA, ISO, and GDP programs.
  • Support branch operations to ensure authorized activities are managed and consistently meet the expected quality and service levels from both internal and external parties.
  • Track, report, and ensure the completion of required branch training related to GHQ, YLA, ISO, GDP, and other implemented programs at the site.
  • Coordinate and promptly execute any recall operations as necessary.
  • Ensure that relevant customer complaints are escalated and managed effectively.
  • Maintain an effective change management process at the site level.
  • Ensure that suppliers and customers are approved, and that third-party reviews, audits, and required onboarding processes are in place.
  • Conduct site-level self-inspections at appropriate intervals following a prearranged program, ensuring necessary corrective measures are implemented.
  • Ensure the completion and maintenance of accurate and required quality records at the branch.
  • Assist in recognizing, reporting, and preventing temperature excursions, with immediate follow-up on alarms.
  • Maintain calibration records as required for equipment utilized in QMS operations.
  • Establish branch-specific processes and maintain compliance regarding returned, rejected, recalled, or falsified products as needed.
  • Lead branch-specific quality review meetings as required.
  • Identify and support the creation and storage of branch-specific SOPs.
  • Serve as the branch point of contact for quality-related incidents.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, along with 4-6 years of experience in international freight forwarding, supply chain, logistics, or operations. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehousing and logistics operations, airfreight forwarding, ocean freight forwarding, and relevant technology is essential.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare/pharmaceutical logistics/supply chain environment with knowledge of GDP is required.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate ideas, collaborate, and lead others to achieve challenging goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated capability to analyze and interpret complex problems/data from various sources, employing effective decision-making and planning.
Essential Job Functions
  • Willingness to travel overnight as required, up to 10%.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with Regional Vice Presidents and Branch Managers, along with proficiency in supporting and participating in internal and external audits.
  • Ability to analyze trends and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills to align customer quality agreement expectations with operations and third-party suppliers.
  • Ability to collaborate with operations teams to ensure ongoing education and adherence to quality standards.
  • Work cooperatively and collaboratively with others.
  • Review and analyze data and information concerning ISO, GDP, CTPAT, and other quality and regulatory procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of ISO, GDP, CTPAT, and other quality and regulatory procedures.
  • Plan, prioritize, and monitor responsibilities.
  • Complete and oversee the timely completion of assigned tasks/projects.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
