Job Summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric care to a diverse patient population in a correctional setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultations and assessments to manage and stabilize emergent problems.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the complex mental health needs of the patient population.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional mental health support.
  • Participate in case conferences and treatment planning for patients receiving behavioral health treatment.
  • Conduct behavioral health evaluations, assessments, and follow-up care.
  • Participate in collaborative consultation with behavioral health staff regarding patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Assign tasks to team members as needed.
  • Maintain all required credentials, including CPR certification.
Requirements
  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the State of employment.
  • Minimum one year of clinical nursing practice in a behavioral health setting, correctional experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate clinical competence and leadership abilities, including decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
