Job Opportunity at Hanover College

Hanover College is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a tenure-track position in Mathematics at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a wide range of mathematics courses, with a particular emphasis on courses of interest to future teachers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach mathematics courses, including those of interest to future teachers
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Advise and mentor students in their academic and professional pursuits
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide service activities
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publication
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Mathematics by time of appointment
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse student and community populations
  • Ability to advise and mentor students
  • Active participation in scholarly interests
  • Ability to embrace the liberal arts mission of the College
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience teaching math education-oriented courses
