Coordinator of Arts and Cultural Programs

Bethel University seeks a highly motivated and organized Coordinator of Fine Arts Programs to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the arts, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that reports to the [Supervisor Stephen Martin]. The Coordinator of Fine Arts Programs will be responsible for coordinating and managing the processes, collaborations, and assistants/student workers that contribute towards Fine Arts productions, office efficiency, and overall impressions experienced by prospective students, current students, and families, and patrons of the Fine Arts at Bethel University.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate the scheduling of events, as they pertain to the academic units of Music, Theatre, Art.
- Communicate with the Bethel community (room reservations, housekeeping, IT, and maintenance work orders, reporting, scheduling, and announcing music events)
- Hire, coordinate, and supervise student workers
- Maintain budget tracking and reconciliation
- Oversee Music and Art purchases
- Oversee development of performance programs (recitals, concerts, plays, musicals, )
- Oversee and archive departmental files
- Provide relevant information to Box Office regarding upcoming performances and Fine Arts events.
- Assist in special research projects pertaining to norms, trends, and features of higher education institutions as directed.
- Collaborate with other Fine Arts staff in completion of duties.
- Four-year degree in an arts-related discipline (music degree preferred)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, One Drive, Adobe Suite) is essential.
The Coordinator of Fine Arts Programs will work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and priorities. The successful candidate will have excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, Bethel University offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a 403(b) retirement plan.
