Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Designer to join our team at Paladin Technologies, Inc. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for providing expert design, engineering, and modeling support for complex systems integration projects across North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer low voltage technology systems, including cabling, security, and DAS, to meet client requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including estimators, engineers, and project managers, to develop project budgets, technical design requirements, and scopes of work
  • Develop and maintain detailed budgets, utilizing technical estimating resources as needed
  • Perform electronic takeoffs using Bluebeam software and manage design projects, including billing, cash flow, cost projections, and schedule management
  • Develop technology systems flow line diagrams, security riser diagrams, door details, and mounting diagrams, as well as network diagrams
  • Provide supplemental peer reviews of designs and documentation prepared by others
  • Participate in internal and external kickoff meetings to ensure smooth project transitions
  • Perform construction administration on design projects as assigned
Requirements
  • 5+ years of design experience in the security industry
  • 5+ years of experience in the low voltage or technology industries
  • Competency in various software platforms, including AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office Suite, and MS Teams
  • RCDD, CTS, PSP, or other low voltage design certifications highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Superior communication skills and ability to effectively manage multiple communications platforms
  • Ability to increase security systems knowledge periodically throughout the year
  • Ability to maintain and increase industry-recognized certifications, such as CTS and CSPM
  • Ability to maintain and stay current with voice/data cabling systems knowledge

  • Must be able to effectively communicate, including seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly
  • Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching and lifting of small objects, and operating office equipment
Pay and Benefits

$57.00/hour (DOE)
