Overview:

Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Director and Assistant Director, the Housekeeping staff member is tasked with ensuring that all areas of the facility are kept clean and comfortable for residents and visitors alike.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Execute daily cleaning tasks as assigned.
2. Clean and polish furniture, fixtures, ledges, and heating/cooling units in resident rooms and common areas as directed.
3. Sanitize and polish bathroom fixtures to maintain hygiene standards.
4. Clean windows and mirrors in all areas including resident rooms, common spaces, and entrances/exits.
5. Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting.
6. Address wall cleanliness as required.
7. Utilize appropriate cleaning and disinfecting solutions while ensuring adequate supply levels.
8. Dispose of waste in designated containers, including proper handling of infectious materials.
9. Prepare vacant rooms for new residents by cleaning and sanitizing.
10. Collect, sort, and launder resident clothing and linens, returning them promptly.
11. Mend or repair clothing items when feasible.
12. Report maintenance needs to the supervisor.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in long-term care or hospitality is preferred.
- A strong commitment to assisting others is essential.
- Excellent customer service and multitasking abilities are necessary.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 35 pounds and move consistently throughout the workday.
