Key Responsibilities- Operate and repair utility equipment, including boilers, chillers, pumps, hot water systems, compressors, pure steam generators, vacuum systems, high purity water systems, reverse osmosis units, vapor compression stills, HVAC systems, waste water systems, and ancillary equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, troubleshooting, passivation's, plant shutdowns, equipment inspections, routine monitoring, cleaning, and painting of equipment in utility areas.
- Review and sign routine shift logs and daily routine monitoring forms.
- Cover shifts of other utility operators when they are out on vacation or are sick.
- Work with contractors and project engineers as needed.
- Perform routine water sampling and testing of systems.
- Assist in coordination of day-to-day repairs and/or projects as needed.
- Enter data into computerized maintenance management system as needed to support documentation of activities.
- Support Continuous Improvements and Safety initiatives.
- Aseptic Gowning Certification.
- Forklift/high lift/JLG Certification may be required.
- Confined space entry is required.
- Respiratory qualification is required.
- Logical approach to troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
- Good organizational skills, able to work quickly and under pressure.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be detailed oriented and quality conscious.
- Must be able to respond to emergencies.
- Computer skills; Microsoft Office, Word.
- Mechnics tools, calipers and welder, etc.
This is a Monday - Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm position. The start pay range is $25.00.
