Interoceanic is a prominent manufacturer specializing in fertilizers and ice melter products. We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to enhance our operational efficiency at our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the Plant Manager and Maintenance Team to address maintenance and safety issues promptly.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on various machinery, including engines, motors, and production equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical failures by observing equipment in operation.
- Fabricate replacement parts using machine shop tools.
- Manage inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring timely orders and receipts.
- Coordinate with external service providers for specialized repairs.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to established protocols.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Experience in reading blueprints and schematics, along with knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and heavy machinery maintenance.
- Physical capability to lift over 50 lbs and work at heights.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
- Must pass a post-offer drug screening.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality are expected.
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Available shifts include 1st shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) and 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 12:30 AM).
- Initial training will occur during 1st shift hours.
- Hourly pay commensurate with skills and experience.
- Eligibility for production and attendance bonuses.
- PTO and paid holidays upon hire.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance available after 30 days, along with disability and life insurance options.
- 401k plan with company matching after 60 days.
- Vacation time awarded after the introductory period.
