Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Communication: Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa during classroom activities and school events, ensuring seamless communication between students, teachers, and staff.
  • Support Academic Access: Assist students who are deaf or hard of hearing in understanding lessons and participating in classroom discussions, promoting equal access to education.
  • Collaborate with Educators: Work closely with teachers to ensure effective communication and adapt to the needs of students, providing individualized support as needed.
  • Facilitate Social Interaction: Facilitate communication between students and peers, supporting social integration and interaction, and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Ensure the privacy of students and sensitive information while providing accurate and respectful interpretation, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
