Role Summary and Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Spine Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused care by performing various essential patient care tasks under the guidance of registered nursing staff.

In this role, you will:
- Assist in executing nursing care plans by providing both direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses.
- Gather and document initial and ongoing patient data, including vital signs and other relevant information throughout the care process.
- Support patient mobility through regular repositioning and assistance with ambulation, including the use of mobility aids.
- Aid in patient discharges and ensure proper body mechanics are utilized.
- Collect specimens for diagnostic tests, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as eating, bathing, and grooming.
- Serve as a Monitor/Telemetry Technician when required.
- Engage in best practices that enhance patient experiences, including safety protocols and effective communication.

Qualifications

Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required within 30 days of employment.
