Job Summary

As a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist at Direct Orthopedic Care, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support. Your primary responsibility will be to take x-rays at the provider's direction, ensuring accurate and high-quality images. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our patients, adhering to all protocols and guidelines to reduce anxiety and ensure a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Take initial x-rays per DOC protocol and any follow-up x-rays at the provider's discretion.
• Provide a genuine welcome to all patients as they enter DOC and lead hospitality efforts by maintaining a courteous, attentive, and professional manner.
• Follow all protocols to reduce anxiety, provide explanation of treatment, and ensure each patient departs with all questions answered.
• Lead patient flow, including rooming patients, taking vitals, setting up injections, obtaining prior authorizations for injections, taking inventory/ordering supplies, educating patients, and applying DME.
• Apply safety techniques, register patients in PACS, and transport patients between rooms.
• Check-in patients and collect demographic information, verify insurance coverage, and collect copays.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure PHI is secure at all times, adhering to HIPAA regulations and continual compliance.

Requirements

• Proactive leadership and ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems.
