We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Director to lead our Surgical Services team at Intermountain Healthcare. Key Responsibilities- Oversee and direct the day-to-day operations of Surgical Services, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals, including quality improvement initiatives and financial management.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental disciplines to drive problem-solving and decision-making.
- Allocate resources to promote safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care, aligned with current standards of practice.
- Implement the vision, mission, and core values of Intermountain Healthcare's Nursing Philosophy and Healing Commitments.
- Remain accountable for the financial management of designated departments/service lines, including budget development and monitoring.
- Provide support and education to department managers to meet financial goals.
- Model and foster an environment of professionalism, ensuring competent and sufficient leadership staff to meet department and patient care needs.
- Guide the development of recruitment, retention, and employee satisfaction strategies to maintain high performers and focus on succession planning.
- Act as a role model through personal professional development, continuous learning, and competency improvement.
- Participate in and contribute to educational offerings and visibility in professional organizations.
- Assure the delivery of safe high-quality patient care through ongoing process evaluation and reviewing clinical outcome metrics.
- Implement clinical program protocols and ensure ongoing monitoring and process improvement to achieve goals.
- Collaborate with departments, physicians, service lines, and across the facility and region on benchmarks and best practices to ensure optimal patient care.
- Master's degree from an accredited university (or a willingness to obtain the master's degree within 3-5 years of hire) is required.
- Three (3) years of nursing leadership experience is required.
- Highly prefer Surgical Services nursing leadership experience.
- A Montana RN License is required.
- Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers is required.
- Must have two (2) years clinical experience.
