CSL Plasma is a leading global plasma collection company, and we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Professional to join our team. As a Medical Professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Donor Suitability Evaluation: Conduct thorough medical evaluations of donors to determine their suitability for plasma donation.
  2. Immunization Administration: Administer approved immunizations to donors and staff, in accordance with licensure or certification.
  3. Emergency Medical Care: Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff, including the administration of medication or treatments.
  4. Health Assessment: Perform medical history reviews and health assessments on donors to assess their suitability for plasma donation.
  5. Test Result Analysis: Review test results and determine continued donor suitability, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  6. Donor Education: Educate donors on the benefits of plasma donation and provide information on donor suitability and medical procedures.
  7. Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school, or naturopathic medical training program.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment.
  • Skills: Ability to make and analyze a physical assessment of heart, lung sounds, signs of drug use, etc. Ability to instruct donors, staff, and community regarding the benefits of plasma donation programs.
Working Conditions

Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Frequently exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and to blood-borne pathogens. Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas.
