We invite applications for the New Graduate Nurse positions. Our recruitment team will connect with you to discuss your interests and arrange interviews and shadowing experiences.
We are currently considering candidates who have recently graduated or will graduate soon. Orientation may commence pending your NCLEX results.
The HCA Healthcare Residency Program spans one year and is tailored to provide you with practical experience, enhancing your clinical and critical thinking abilities. As a Resident Graduate Nurse, you will be part of a nurturing environment comprising nurse educators, seasoned nurses, and fellow residents, all focused on facilitating your transition from student to registered nurse.

Job Responsibilities and Qualifications
The Residency Program at Centerpoint Medical Center equips you with essential tools for success in a hospital setting. This compensated program facilitates your transition from academic learning to practical application through structured experiences, including:
- Specialized clinical training.
- Monthly educational workshops.
- Guided training with a facility preceptor.
- Skill assessment through practical simulations.
- Mentorship from experienced nursing leaders.
- Collaborative work on evidence-based practice projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, promptly reporting any changes.
- Execute medical procedures and document care in patient records accurately and timely.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses, intervening as necessary.
- Deliver exceptional patient care by addressing requests promptly and anticipating needs.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications in an understandable manner.
Required Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of employment.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing by the start date.
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse status in the relevant state.
- No prior experience required.
- Some travel may be necessary for training during the initial orientation period.
