A doctoral degree in Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an equivalent recognized body at the time of degree conferral.



Licensure:
Candidates must possess a valid pharmacy license in a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.

Experience:

Candidates must demonstrate the necessary knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies to fulfill the role's requirements.

Pharmacy practice necessitates an understanding of medication use, clinical effects, and the composition of drugs, including their chemical, biological, and physical characteristics.

Relevant professional pharmacy experience may include, but is not limited to:
- Dispensing medications as prescribed by healthcare providers and offering guidance on proper usage and potential side effects.
- Analyzing medication use patterns and outcomes for patients in healthcare settings.
- Engaging in administrative, consultative, or advisory roles within a pharmacy program.
- Planning, monitoring, and assessing medication management programs.
- Establishing protocols for medication storage and preservation.
- Conducting research on medical literature to provide accurate information.
- Maintaining all legally required medication records.

Medical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to differentiate basic colors.

In addition to the Basic Requirements, candidates must meet the Minimum Qualifications outlined below:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Your application must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector, involving:

Work history must include a leadership position in a hospital pharmacy environment; comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy-related accreditation and CMS certification standards, including USP 797 requirements; experience with electronic medical records and pharmacy management systems.

All qualification requirements must be met within the specified timeframe.
