Key Responsibilities- Assist registered nurses and healthcare providers in collecting patient data and implementing care plans.
- Organize and prioritize patient care activities to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
- Implement age-appropriate interventions based on individual patient needs and provide ongoing education and reinforcement of care plans.
- Provide a safe environment and safe delivery of care, adhering to policy, procedure, and competency standards.
- Assume responsibility for professional development and contribute to the growth and development of others.
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration in the delivery of patient care.
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program or completion of a Medical Assistant Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
- Current licensure as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia or certification as a Medical Assistant through a recognized national professional association.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification.
- Ability to lift/push/pull 20-50lbs and stand for prolonged periods.
The Ambulatory Care Professional will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams. The position requires excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
