Job Title: Family Nurse Practitioner

Premise Health is seeking a highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Harrisonburg, VA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Job Summary:

The Family Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing primary and specialty care to patients in an ambulatory care setting. This includes conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing and implementing patient care plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family medicine and experience working in an occupational health setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct physical examinations and provide preventive health measures to patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and healthcare needs.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Prescribe medications and other forms of treatment as necessary.
  • Refers patients to specialists or other healthcare resources as needed.
  • Maintains accurate and detailed medical records.
Requirements:
  • Current RN license and nurse practitioner certification.
  • State prescriptive authority and DEA license.
  • Current national certification (ANCC or AANP).
  • Master's degree in Science of Nursing.
  • CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Provider or ACLS).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least three years of experience as a nurse practitioner in an ambulatory care or occupational health setting.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records.
