Position: Mainframe Security Engineer

Work Arrangement: Fully Remote

Essential Qualifications: Security, RACF, mainframe, z/os, zsecure, REXX

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years in Information Security Engineering or a related field, demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in assessing and remediating mainframe security risks.
  • Demonstrate 5 years of hands-on experience with Resource Access Control Facility (RACF), specifically with the current supported version (z/OS 2.1 and above).
  • Exhibit 5 years of experience utilizing native z/OS and RACF tools for mainframe security.
  • Show proficiency in issuing RACF commands and performing diagnostics for a minimum of 5 years.

Additional Skills:

  • 5 years of experience with Job Control Language (JCL).
  • 5 years of experience with Time Sharing Options (TSO).
  • Familiarity with REXX and CARLa.
  • Experience with the zSecure tool.

Professional Skills:

  • Advanced technical skills in Information Security and a solid understanding of security practices and policies.
  • Ability to navigate complex issues and devise effective solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
