Job Overview

As a vital member of our team, the Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest accommodations, ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Uphold the I-Serve standards consistently throughout your duties.
  2. Adhere to all company policies and departmental procedures.
  3. Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety protocols diligently.
  4. Report to your designated workstation promptly as per the attendance policy.
  5. Identify and suggest improvements for services, systems, and procedures.

Departmental Duties:

  1. Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and within the expected time frame.
  2. Ensure that all guest rooms and villas are impeccably clean and presented to the highest standards.
  3. Report any deficiencies in your assigned areas promptly.
  4. Maintain cleanliness in all public areas, ensuring they are vacuumed and tidy.
  5. Keep corridors and stairways clear for guest safety.
  6. Organize and clean housekeeping storage areas and carts regularly.
  7. Restock attendant carts at the end of each shift.
  8. Participate in meetings and uphold a safe working environment by reporting potential hazards.
  9. Return all lost and found items to the housekeeping manager immediately.
  10. Consistently adhere to Welk Resorts' Signature Guest Engagement service standards.
  11. Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Preferred candidates will have at least six months of relevant experience or training. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is advantageous. Proficiency in using mobile devices for task management is required.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operation manuals, and procedural documents. Effective communication skills with guests and colleagues are essential. Proficiency in English is required.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands for this position include standing, walking, reaching, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
