About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of tennis professionals and staff members to deliver high-quality instruction, programming, and events that enhance the tennis experience for our members. Key responsibilities include:
• Developing and implementing a strategic vision for the tennis program, including lesson plans, clinics, camps, leagues, and tournaments.
• Recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising tennis professionals and staff members.
• Designing and overseeing instructional programs for players of all ages and skill levels.
• Coordinating and promoting tennis events and activities to engage and inspire our members.
• Fostering partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and tennis associations to expand outreach and promote tennis programming.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Sports Management or a related field and at least 5 years of experience as a Tennis Professional or Tennis Director. A USPTA or PTR certification is preferred. Additionally, strong playing ability and knowledge of tennis techniques, strategies, and rules are essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with members and staff.
