TRAVELING JOBSITE SUPERINTENDENT

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the jobsite, including setup of trailers, utilities, supplies, and required documentation.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with local authorities and inspectors.
  • Preparing daily reports to track project progress.
  • Conducting daily safety inspections of the jobsite and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Ensuring all personnel adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear.
  • Verifying that all personnel operating DI rented equipment are properly certified.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized jobsite.
  • Assisting the Project Manager in compiling weekly reports for clients.
  • Being the authority on project plans and specifications.
  • Supporting the Project Manager in preparing Requests for Information (RFIs) and reviewing submittals.
  • Collaborating closely with the Project Manager to ensure adherence to the project schedule.
  • Meeting with subcontractors to discuss their scope of work and project timelines.
  • Ensuring subcontractor work complies with plans and specifications.
  • Maintaining accurate as-built drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conducting daily and weekly meetings with subcontractors on-site.
  • Performing a two-week look-ahead to ensure subcontractor availability.
  • Coordinating with the Office Administrator to ensure all necessary paperwork is prepared prior to subcontractor arrival.
  • Working with the Jobsite Administrator to verify the accuracy of deliveries and manage storage unit contents.
  • Collaborating with the Office Administrator and Project Manager to review invoices for accuracy.
  • Assisting the Project Manager with subcontractor payment applications as needed.
  • Preparing and completing Punch List items.
  • Helping the Office Administrator compile closeout documents for the owner.
  • Assisting the Jobsite Administrator with the return of rented items at project completion.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Professional communication skills with owners, vendors, subcontractors, and inspectors.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Word; knowledge of MS Project is a plus.
