Job Summary:The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care in the Same Day Surgery department. This role requires strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license and Associate Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma required.
