Job Summary:

The Server Assistant will support the restaurant team by assisting servers and ensuring smooth operations during meal service. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area, delivering food and beverages to tables, and providing excellent customer service to enhance the dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with setting up tables for meal service, including arranging utensils, napkins, and other dining essentials.
  • Deliver beverages to tables, refill water glasses, and assist with beverage orders as needed.
  • Help servers deliver food orders to tables promptly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
  • Clear tables of used dishes, glassware, and utensils between courses and after guests have finished their meals, maintaining a clean and tidy dining environment.
  • Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously, providing assistance with menu questions, special requests, or additional items needed.
  • Work closely with servers, hosts/hostesses, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient communication and teamwork during meal service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area, including wiping down tables, chairs, and surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
  • Assist in restocking supplies such as napkins, condiments, and beverage stations to ensure availability throughout the meal service.
  • Provide friendly and attentive customer service to guests, anticipating their needs and ensuring a positive dining experience.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
  • Passion for providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and support fellow team members during busy periods.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays or other items as needed.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
