Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with supervising physicians to manage the care of complex acutely ill patients with or without chronic diseases via face-to-face, telehealth, or other communication devices.
- Provide expert patient care, perform patient assessments, physical examinations, and medical history.
- Order and interpret a variety of laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose, develop appropriate treatment plans, prescribe medical regimens, and educate patients/family regarding diagnosis and plan of care.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, staff, and administration to ensure quality of care across the health system.
- Participate in research initiatives, data collection, quality improvement, discharge planning, and coordination of patient care within the area of practice.
- Integrate evidence-based practice and technological advances into their scope of practice.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Physician Assistant NCCPA certification.
- 5 years of APP experience required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Compliant with state requirements for CME and licensure renewal.
- DEA License required as per specialty.
- BLS/ACLS required as per specialty.
