Anesthesia Technician Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Nemours Children's Health. As a key member of our surgical suite, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our anesthesia services.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies, ensuring they are clean, safe, and ready for use.
- Assist anesthesia providers with patient care, including setting up IV fluids and tubing, preparing fluid warmer units, and cleaning and restocking anesthesia carts.
- Verify daily anesthesia equipment checks and ensure that all equipment is functioning properly.
- Provide patient monitoring equipment maintenance, including pulse oximetry, ECG monitors, O2 analyzers, airway gas monitors, and ventilation systems.
- Resource non-narcotic medication within the operative suite and maintain inventory of anesthesia supplies.
- Participate in routine emergency drills and skills fairs with the anesthesia and perioperative team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical terminology training preferred.
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) preferred.
