Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Engineer to join our team at MS Technology, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire protection design, with experience in working on projects of moderate scope and complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fire Protection Design: Provide fire protection design services for DOE and DoD governmental facilities, including conceptual studies, program requirements, design analyses, calculations, equipment selection and layout, and system selection and layout.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on NFPA requirements and provide consultation services to organizations and projects on meeting specific fire protection requirements.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure accuracy of design packages, meet schedule and budget commitments, and ensure internal communication and coordination of design efforts.
  • Client Communication: Meet with clients to prepare and/or validate proposed scope of work, and prepare labor-hour proposals for fire protection design work.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure quality assurance processes are followed and coordinate support activities required to complete design efforts.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from A.B.E.T. Accredited Program in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Architectural, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years of related experience and/or training, with experience in building and fire safety code analysis, fire dynamic analysis, and fire risk analysis.
  • Certifications: Must be capable of and willing to obtain a Q clearance, and be a US Citizen.
