Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our team at Jones Lang LaSalle IP, Inc. in Tampa, FL. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for leading operations and maintenance on assigned shifts, monitoring performance, and ensuring the safe and compliant operation of critical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the engineering staff to create a high-performing team.
  • Support building operations through a highly integrated facilities management and engineering team to assure high infrastructure availability and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure effective communication with the engineering and facilities management staff.
  • Lead or directly operate and monitor critical and non-critical system equipment and components.
  • Provide on-the-job training and technical support to shift engineers and maintenance technicians.
  • Support the implementation of the preventative maintenance program for their assigned shift.
  • Receive and complete work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance on critical systems and building physical structure.
  • Update tools and supply inventories as necessary.
  • Maintain and support a Critical Environment Management program reflecting client requirements and industry best practices.
  • Responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, and modification of all building systems.
  • Develop, review, and approve construction and maintenance work plans for assigned facilities and systems.
  • Work collaboratively with the Energy Management team to develop programs that reduce energy consumption and increase sustainable practices.
  • Identify safety hazards within the building and incorporate remediation to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines related to building operations.
