Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at GEO Corrections & Detentions. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare services to inmates/detainees in a secure facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans in collaboration with the Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Perform physical assessments and medical histories, and provide nursing care within your scope of practice
  • Administer medications and monitor patient progress, reporting any concerns to management
  • Document all detainee/inmate contacts and maintain confidentiality of medical records
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice as a LPN in the state where the facility is located
  • Two (2) years of direct work experience preferred
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and provide appropriate follow-through treatment
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently: lift or carry and push/pull up to 40 lbs., walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder level
  • Occasionally: lift or carry and push/pull up to 60 lbs., work with machinery, and climb
