Position Summary
As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of individuals at various screening locations. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough security checks of airport personnel and other individuals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prevent the transportation of hazardous items through screening processes.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while performing security duties in a professional manner.
  • Utilize advanced electronic detection and imaging technology effectively.
  • Conduct metal detection searches, pat-downs, and operate x-ray machines, as well as perform physical inspections of belongings.
  • Engage in additional security-related tasks to ensure the safety of the traveling public.

Qualifications:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Possession of a valid Florida Class-D Security License is required.
  • A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is necessary.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including criminal history, employment verification, and personal references.
  • Must hold a valid state-issued Driver's License or ID card.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment, annual, and random drug screenings is mandatory.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Ability to interact positively with the public is crucial.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, and overnight hours as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to stand for extended periods with minimal breaks.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Physical agility to twist, squat, and bend without limitations.
  • Willingness to conduct patrols, which may involve walking long distances and navigating stairs.
  • Preparedness to respond to physical disturbances effectively.
  • Comfortable working in diverse weather conditions, from summer heat to winter cold.
  • Availability without restrictions from other part-time employment.
