Job Title: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

About Us:
The Kidz Club is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center providing high-quality and intensive PT, OT, and ST services to children. Our team is dedicated to helping medically-complex children and their families.

Our Expectations:
We are seeking a skilled SLPA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric feeding and/or high- and low-tech AAC, as well as early intervention and play-based therapy. The SLPA will work with a diverse population of children, from NICU-discharged infants to young adults in wheelchairs. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide therapy using evidence-based practice for clients with communication and swallowing difficulties.
  2. Complete all documentation in a timely and thorough manner.
  3. Provide education and guidance to clients, families, and caregivers on strategies for carry-over therapy at home.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
  5. Stay current with advancements in the field through continuing education and professional development activities.
  6. Adhere to ethical and professional standards outlined by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensing boards.
Qualifications:
  1. Completion of one of the three ASHA's SLPA eligibility requirement tracks.
  2. SLPA state licensure from the Florida Department of Health.
  3. Clinical experience working with the pediatric population, with a preference for medical pediatric experience.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  5. Proficiency in standardized assessment tools, therapeutic interventions, and assistive technologies relevant to the field.
  6. Commitment to maintaining professional competency and adhering to HIPAA policies and ethical standards.
  7. Current CPR (BLS) certificate.
