Laboratory Processing Specialist

The Laboratory Processing Associate is responsible for the receipt, accessioning, processing, and storage of patient samples received into the lab. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Receipt and accessioning of patient samples
- Processing and storage of laboratory specimens
- Follows proper specimen identification procedures
- Handles and disposes of specimens according to universal precautions and safety policies
- Responsible for supply inventory and supply stocking
- Performs basic maintenance of laboratory equipment
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Basic computer skills, including email usage
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation
- Previous work experience in a laboratory or similar environment
