Work Hours: 3rd Shift (Sunday through Thursday - 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM)

JOB SUMMARY

As a Night Shift Building Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for all employees by ensuring the company's buildings are well-maintained and clean. You will perform a variety of tasks, including cleaning, maintenance, and repairs, to ensure the facilities are in good working order.

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Perform nightly cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing high-touch areas.
  2. Be alert to potential hazards, such as power failures, water leaks, and security breaches, and notify the unit leader/manager promptly.
  3. Limit complaints to 4 per year, related to recycling, trash, and general housekeeping.
  4. Prepare and use company-approved cleaning solutions and follow company policy and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  5. Participate in OSHA training and meetings as scheduled.
  6. Be aware of and respond to security alarms, door issues, and parking lot concerns while on shift.
  7. Complete additional projects as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  1. Reasonable hand-and-eye coordination skills.
  2. Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs., bend, reach, and stretch to perform manual labor and handle custodial equipment.
  3. Ability to handle hazardous materials, read and decipher information on MSDS, and translate information into proper procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  4. Ability to follow instructions.
  5. Basic communication skills, ability to work well with others, and maintain confidential information.
  6. General computer abilities.
  7. Ability to work flexible hours set by management when needed.
  8. Effective interface with external contacts, employees, managers, and department staff members.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Previous custodial experience, preferably in a similar 3rd-shift environment.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This compensation package is competitive and reflective of the company's commitment to attracting and retaining top talent.
