Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Quality Correctional Health Care (QCHC). As an LPN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients within a correctional environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and intervene in emergency situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
  • Conduct patient intake paperwork, verifying and obtaining orders for patient medication as needed.
  • Administer medications in accordance with nursing standards and correctional regulations.
  • Complete and document ordered treatments, patient care, and collection of ordered labs.
  • Assist providers with chronic care clinics and provider sick call visits.
  • Monitor patients' conditions, reporting and documenting any changes.
  • Accurately document all patient information, nursing care, and interventions.
  • Ensure daily nursing tasks are completed within prescribed timeframes.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to QCHC policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited vocational/technical school.
  • Current and valid LPN or LVN license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting as an LPN, with one year of experience in a correctional healthcare setting preferred.
