Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at Umanist Staffing LLC. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of materials within our warehouse or distribution center.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and store incoming materials in a timely and accurate manner
  • Process and package orders for shipping, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate
  • Manage inventory levels, performing regular stock rotations to maintain optimal storage conditions
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently
  • Inspect and maintain equipment and tools to prevent downtime and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Collaborate with other team members to fulfill customer orders, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and transactions, using computer systems to track and manage inventory levels
  • Organize warehouse space to optimize storage capacity and improve workflow efficiency
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and productivity

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with a strong understanding of inventory management practices
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery, with a focus on safety and efficiency
  • Knowledge of inventory management software and systems, with experience using computer systems to track and manage inventory levels
  • Physical stamina and strength to handle manual tasks, with the ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping, with a focus on maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking, with experience using software and systems to manage inventory levels
  • Understanding of safety regulations and procedures, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
