Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Clinical Athletic Trainer is to provide day-to-day athletic training services for a local high school athletic program, as well as spend 2-3 days per week in the clinical setting. The Clinical Athletic Trainer provides athletic training services on an ongoing basis, managing the health care of participating athletes. This includes first aid/emergency care, on-site injury evaluation, appropriate modalities, prevention and rehabilitation programs, and medical referrals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide athletic training services for a local high school athletic program
  • Work in the clinical setting, providing athletic training services on an ongoing basis
  • Manage the health care of participating athletes, including first aid/emergency care and on-site injury evaluation
  • Develop and implement prevention and rehabilitation programs
  • Make medical referrals as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited professional athletic training education program
  • 1 year experience as an Athletic Trainer or in a medical office setting
  • Valid license from the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR) prior to date of hire
  • Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card
  • Valid SC Drivers license required to travel to local schools and athletic events
