Role Overview: As a Staff Nuclear Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in assisting the Pharmacy Manager in the safe, effective, and client-focused operation of the Nuclear Pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compound, prepare, and dispense radiopharmaceuticals per physician prescriptions and Company, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Perform Quality Control testing on all dispensed products, assessing medications to determine identity, purity, and strength.
  • Comply with all Company, State, and Federal requirements for the handling and shipping of radioactive material.
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager with overseeing pharmacy staff, technicians, lab workers, and drivers.
  • Monitor and control operational expenses, inventory, and purchasing of supplies within the pharmacy.
  • Provide clinical support for customers with radiopharmaceutical questions and inform management of complaints or requests in a timely manner.
  • Provide training and instruction to pharmacy technicians, lab assistants, and nuclear medicine technology students.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures while safely carrying out the responsibilities of the position.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Registered Pharmacist with 1+ years of nuclear pharmacist experience.
  • Must have an active pharmacy license in the state worked in.
  • NRC or state Authorized User Status designation in the state worked in.
  • Ability to work a variety of schedules, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
