Oversees the daily functions of the radiology department to ensure alignment with both departmental and organizational goals.

Work Schedule: Full Time Days

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contributes to the establishment of specific departmental objectives, standards, and goals that directly support the strategic vision of the organization.
  • Manages employee relations, including performance evaluations, staff satisfaction, and conflict resolution. Responsible for scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagement oversight.
  • Monitors departmental financials, compliance with regulations, departmental contracts, and vendor relationships. Evaluates and justifies needs for systems, equipment, and supplies, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
  • Evaluates the quality of patient care provided and coordinates services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May engage in patient care as necessary.
  • Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision. Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate actions.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: Registered as a Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT), or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). State licensure as mandated by law. Relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
    Minimum Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must remain valid for sixty days post-hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
