Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team at USPI Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital Kingwood. As a Radiology Tech, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, operating x-ray equipment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including IV and contrast administration, orthopedic radiology, pediatric radiology, and more.
  • Operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body, adjusting equipment for proper exposure, voltage, and current.
  • Determine, prepare, and set up medical supplies, instruments, and equipment, explaining x-ray procedures to patients and positioning them for each anatomical view.
  • Monitor accessory equipment and assist attending physicians with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies.
  • Record amount and type of film exposed, label film with identifying information, and sort as required.
  • Consult with lead x-ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established standards of quality.
  • Process film in accordance with standardized procedures and maintain assigned work area in clean and orderly condition.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience preferred.
  • AART Registered and CPR Current.
  • Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission Regulations.
  • Must possess independent decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
